It’s rare that we get to hear from Beyonce on her personal life. She took to Vogue to finally speak freely about her personal life and the issues she’s had with pregnancy and her weight. August’s Vogue issue contains a spread on Beyonce and was photographed by the first black photographer of their time. Tyler Mitchell is 23-year-old from Atlanta, GA who shot the cover breaking this record.
Beyonce went on to share her truth in that she weight 218 lbs the day she gave birth to the twins Rumi and Sir Cater after suffering from toxemia (causes major swelling during pregnancy.
“To this day my arms, shoulders, breasts, and thighs are fuller. I have a little mommy pouch, and I’m in no rush to get rid of it. I think it’s real. Whenever I’m ready to get a six-pack, I will go into beast zone and work my ass off until I have it. But right now, my little FUPA and I feel like we are meant to be.”
She also spoke on opening doors for more people like photographer Tyler Mitchell, her journey in music and the ancestry that follows her career path. In this issue of Vogue Beyonce also described her Coachella experience and her most memorable moment during the OTR II tour.
