The Bad Boy founder shared his plans to start a new record label exclusively for R&B artists. Diddy states, “The new label is so that we can own the genre; we don’t own hip-hop right now,” he said. “We have a chance to –and I’m going to make sure that–we own R&B.” He states he will not be signing artists, instead, he plans to do a 50/50 partnership with “pure transparency.” In addition to his new label, Diddy is scheduled to release his latest album, Off the Grid, Vol. 1, on Sept. 24.
