After a two-year hiatus, the live event will return to an in person experience and take place on Saturday (June 4) and Sunday (June 5) at The Mann in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, according to an official Twitter update posted by The Roots. “This year, the picnic is a love letter to Philly. Thank you for supporting us for 15 years. We’re bringing you a 2-day festival,” the Grammy Award-winning group shared on Tuesday (Feb. 15). Pre-sale tickets are currently on sale and general tickets sales will start Friday (Feb. 18) at 10 am ET. Early Bird 2-day tickets are $149, while VIP Silver passes cost $499 and VIP Gold passes cost $999. Unlike other music festivals that have announced their return, all concertgoers attending the Roots Picnic must show proof of an updated COVID-19 vaccine passport to attend or present a negative test result within 72 hours of entry.
