Meek Mill was jailed on drug and gun convictions in November of last year and was released yesterday after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ordered his release.
According to the NY Times:
“As we have said all along, Meek was unjustly convicted and should not have spent a single day in jail,” his lawyer, Joe Tacopina, said in a statement.
There has been speculation with this arresting officer, the judge and many others involved in this case. This case has caused an uproar in the hip-hop commmunity and given Meek recognition by Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kevin Hart and more.
Upon his release, Meek attended the Miami Heat & Philadelphia 76ers game with his son and Kevin Hart.
