New statue for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

On the 54th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, a new statue is revealed at the Georgia Capitol building.

Members of the King family, Mayor Kasim Reed and State Representative, Calvin Smyre – who is responsible for this accepted bill – gather in support with the community on the morning of August 28, 2017 to celebrate this victory.
