Young rapper Tekashi69 has been sentenced to 2 Years after serving 13 months on a racketeering case in New York. He is set to be released next November.
Federal prosecutors in Manhattan described his cooperation against former members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods as “extraordinary” and “extremely useful.”
Social media predicted he’d be let go for time served but the judge, Paul A. Engelmayer, said the conduct described was “too violent” to justify Mr. Hernandez’s immediate release from custody.
Prosecutors fear for his life because of his affiliation with the Nine Trey gang and his cooperation with the FEDs. Upon his release, 69 has said he’s not interested in the witness program and that he intends to keep performing.
We will see what more is to come.
